How to Vectorize a JPG logo in 5 Minutes!

1. Open the logo in Adobe Illustrator: The first step in vectorizing your logo is to have it open in Adobe Illustrator. If you already have the logo in the software, you can simply open the file. However, if the logo is in another format, such as JPEG or PNG, you will need to import it into Illustrator. To do this, go to "File" and select "Import" and choose your image file.

2. Use Image Trace to convert the logo into vector shapes: Once the logo is open in Illustrator, you can use Image Trace to convert it into vector shapes. To do this, select the image on the artboard and go to "Object" and choose "Image Trace" and select "Make."

3. Choose the best Image Trace preset: In the Image Trace panel, you will see several presets that you can choose from. These presets are designed to help you get the best possible result when vectorizing your logo. Some of the presets include Color, Black and White, and Grayscale. Choose the preset that best resembles your image and adjust the settings as needed using the sliders and toggles. For example, you can adjust the Threshold, Paths, and Corners settings to get the desired result.

4. Expand the traced image: After you have adjusted the Image Trace settings, click "Expand" to convert the traced image into vector shapes. This will create a series of individual shapes that you can manipulate and adjust as needed.

5. Use the Direct Selection Tool to adjust individual parts of the logo: With the vector shapes in place, you can use the Direct Selection Tool (A) to select the individual parts of the logo and adjust their colors, shapes, and styles as desired. For example, you can use the Fill and Stroke options in the Properties panel to adjust the appearance of each shape. You can also use the Pen or Shape tools to make manual adjustments to the vector shapes.

6. Save the newly vectorized logo: Once you're happy with the appearance of the newly vectorized logo, you can save it as an .ai file for future editing. This will allow you to make changes to the logo as needed, such as resizing it or adjusting its colors.

However, the end result will be a high-quality, scalable logo that you can use for a variety of purposes, such as printing or web design. Additionally, if you're working with a logo that has a lot of small details or color gradients, you may need to spend more time adjusting the Image Trace settings to get the desired result. In some cases, you may need to clean up the vector shapes manually using the Pen or Shape tools.

In conclusion, vectorizing a logo in Adobe Illustrator is a powerful way to create a scalable, high-quality logo that can be used for a variety of purposes. By following the steps outlined above, you can convert your logo into vector shapes that you can manipulate and adjust to get the desired result.
